CABEZA
I’ve been secretly/not so secretly working on an enormous 500 page comic book called Cabeza. While the rest of the world goes on its merry way touting videogames and dubstep, I cast in my alignment with Dan Clowes, Suehiro Maruo, and Chris Ware, as stodgy as they me seem, and will begin in MARCH 2012 posting pages daily to my site www.aaronshunga.com. There were a slew of small publishing opportunities that hit all of the sudden in 2011 and I’m just nearing completion of those obligations. There is absolutely no monetary certainty in this venture, but I feel like things have come full circle and creatively I’m in the same place I was when I drew VACUUM HORROR back in 2004, albeit much wiser.
